In a year of preparation to be the first American to play Mark Rothko in John Logan’s RED, Mr. Gero kept a blog of his process, including photos, videos, reviews, etc. The production, directed by Robert Falls, began at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, then transferred to Washington, DC at Arena Stage.
Other coverage included an interview with him at The National Gallery on WETA, the PBS affiliate in Washington prior the the opening in Washington. The National Gallery has 800 objects of Rothko, and exhibited several of the Seagram’s mural during Arena Stage leg of the run of RED. Take a look
